Rest & Relax - Timeless Tropical

Here's a little card to brighten someone's day and give us all the permission we deserve to take a little break. We might not be able to travel far or go on holidays, but we can take a break and find a little time to relax and restore ourselves. 

It might only be 5 mins with a cup of tea. Or it could be longer with a good book. Whatever the time frame this is the perfect card to give someone with little gift of tea, coffee, a book or candle and tell them how special they are. 

I used masking for this card too. It just gives it that beautiful rustic effect around the edges. I stamped all the images using StayzOn Saddle Brown ink and then water coloured the flowers and trees with a water painter. Add a few layers of card stock and this is a very simple card to make but one I think it quite beautiful. If you haven't trying masking it's a technique I'd really encourage you to give a go. It's easy and you can create a whole range of different effects. If you need some inspiration this should help. Let me know in the comments if you give it a try. I'd love to see what you make.
